
Greg is one of our Long term volunteer, He from New Zealand. This is his second visit to Nepal as a volunteer. He was here in 2004 during that time he worked in Chitwan. Now he wants to work as volunteer teacher in Kathmandu valley. He was so much impressed with Nepali life style, he loves Nepali food ( Daal/ bhat). And trying to learn How to cook it.
Besides than teaching in school he also support school kids to learn Cricket. He is very flexible person

Ikea has worked as Volunteer teacher in Kathmandu Valley along with William, she taught English, Math and computer in school. She very fun loving and friendly person.
She worked with VEEP for 8weeks, in between the placement time she has done a small project in School from micro fund provided by VEEP Nepal with William. They changed old traditional back board replaced with white marker board. They also changed a roof of the school stage where community and school used to use this space as community programmes, roof was badly damaged by last year storms. After her placement she has gone to Pokhara and went for Annapurna Base camp for trekking.
She is traveling around the globe. After finishing volunteering placement of Nepal she has gone to Guatemala.

William has worked as Volunteer teacher in Kathmandu Valley, He taught English, Math and computer in school. He is very fun loving and friendly person.
He worked with VEEP for 10 weeks, in between the placement time he has done a small project in School from micro fund provided by VEEP Nepal. He has changed old traditional back board replaced with white marker board. He used to run after school computer class to the school kids.
After his placement he has gone to Pokhara and stayed couple of days with other volunteers. This was his first trip out of America and he just loves the rural life of Nepal. He thinks it’s a life changing experience for him.
USA (2009)


David has worked as Volunteer teacher in Kathmandu, He taught English, science and Math in school. He has very good Nepali he speaks quite good Nepali and most interestingly he even could read Nepali scripts.
He worked with VEEP for 10 weeks, in between the placement time he has done a small project in School from micro fund provided by VEEP Nepal. He has establish a science Lab in the school. And one of his friend from USA brought a lots of science stuff for the kids. Some of them are from NASA. School student were so much excited to see those stuff.
After his placement he has gone to Pokhara and Khumbu valley for trekking. In few days he is going to India for 6 weeks after that he going to meet with his brother who is going to visit him in Nepal.

Marry, John, Sarah and Paul are from UCC, Cork, Ireland. They wer here for 6weeks volunteer programme. They worked as Volunteer teacher
enjoyed working in rural setting of
Nepal and had load of fun while teaching and they love being volunteer teacher and they thought it life changing experience.
Besides teaching they also helped school to run small projects. After finishing they went for traveling around Nepal,
They went to Buddha’s birth place Lumbini and went for Mountain flight to see
Mount Everest. After that they went to Bungee jumping in Last resort at Bhotekoshi.
Ireland (2007)

At the end of my one month teaching the principle told me he was proud of me as I had taught his students something new. However, little did. I know that I was the one being taught. Immersed in a completely alien culture and classroom, it is amazing what one can learn, not only about their surroundings but also about themselves and their homes.
