Winter Volunteering Programme 2010

We offer 4-6 weeks Winter Program with a great cultural and volunteering experience of a lifetime in this most amazing country. 
All the kids in the village are like that – super friendly and all excited just to say hello. Every day I pass by a rooftop where three little kids sit playing and every day they jump up and down with excitement screaming ‘namaste, namaste!’ If I happen to pass the hundreds of kids emptying out of the school, it’s a deafening stream of greetings and they’re somewhat chuffed to say that they know me from school. You’d think they’d be bored of me by now! And there are actually very many volunteers here from all over the world so we foreigners are not that exotic. Still, it’s a sleepy, quiet kinda life so I guess little things are quite exciting there.
VEEP Nepal is currently working with Orphanage In Kathmandu,at Lamatar,a nice village with Great landscape.. We are very proud to associate with the Orphange. This Orphanage is runs by 24 years Young Nepali called Laxmi. Laxmi is a generous girls who has devoteed herself in her orphanage. It is really big inspiration for the other people of her age. Who has spent more than 4 year to establish her orphanage. Currently she is taking care of 7 kids in the orphanage from different district of Nepal and who don’t have parents. VEEP Nepal is going to supply volunteers from this year.
The orphanage has very limited resource for the kids. On Oct 2009 VEEP Nepal started supporting the orphanage. This year VEEP Nepal and its volunteers has donated : Bed, Bed sheet, Blankets, Towels, stationeries for 6 months and also help orphanage to make a separate room for the upcoming volunteer.
Upcoming volunteers can stay in the room and work with orphanage. We have made list of necessary items that is needed in Orphanage. VEEP Nepal hopes to provide sufficient support in coming future. If you would like to work in this orphanage please don’t hesitate to contact.
